The bare RGB LED can easily be driven from the Morsel without having to worry about the electrical characteristics, connecting any other parts, or the challenge in creating color.

An RGB Coupler may also be used to attach wires to the LED without having to solder.

These RGB LED’s are “common anode”, or the longest lead is “positive”(+), and the other 3 leads are “negative”(letters on the Morsel). The leads are ordered as: red, anode (longest lead), green, blue. By mixing the brightness of each primary color of light (red, green, blue), you can create all colors.

To light up a bare RGB LED without a Morsel is a bit trickier. The LED needs between 2v-3v, and a current of up to 20mA separately for each color. By varying the current of each lead, you can choose the resulting color.
