New Video Tutorial: Using Sequence Composer #1

We’re excited to announce the first in a series of video tutorials for the free app Sequence Composer! The first video is appropriately titled “Getting Acquainted”, and walks through downloading and installing the app, getting used to the simple interface, understanding important terms (like “LED ports”, “sequence channels”, and “themes”), writing a simple sequence that models the incandescent light of a radio tower at night, connecting the Morsel and ComLink to send the light effect, and fixing any mistakes made while writing the sequence. Sequence Composer Update 1.3 “Albeniz”

The latest version of the free app Sequence Composer has been released! With this release, named in honor of famous Spanish composer Isaac Albeniz, a new feature has been added to sequences: inputs. In a nutshell, an input is data that goes into a sequence. This data can be used to decide where to go in the sequence, or how often. Theme Designer Overhaul!

The free and flexible app Theme Designer (originally released February 2018)received an overhaul today, and we mean overhaul! The new version of the app (codenamed “Dragonfly”) is now even easier to use, and exposes a brand new feature for working with sequences: inputs. Inputs expose a new depth of effects, allowing sequences to now use the values from other sequence channels and the CC pin, and react accordingly. May 2018 App updates

Both Sequence Composer and Theme Designer got an update today! Here’s what’s new: Checking for updated versions works again (since we changed our web server) Fixed a crash in the Export Tool that happened if a ComLink device was not connected while starting the tool Theme Designer now reports when trying to open an Advanced Theme Designer file. Wait, Advanced Theme Designer? What’s that? We have two more apps in development right now that will be free and work with your Morsel devices, and we’ll reveal more information in the coming weeks as Brickworld Chicago 2018 and NIMCON 7 approaches. April 2018 App updates

Both Sequence Composer and Theme Designer got an update today with a few minor bug fixes and feature additions. Following is a list of changes: Fixed certain theme files not working correctly Added the ability to check for updates through the “Help:About” menu Checking for updates on program start is enabled by default. This can be turned off by selecting the “Help:Check for updates on start” menu. In Sequence Composer, the number of free blocks on the device are reported in the Export Tool, as well as the number of blocks each file to be exported will use.
