New Video Tutorial: Using Sequence Composer #1

We’re excited to announce the first in a series of video tutorials for the free app Sequence Composer! The first video is appropriately titled “Getting Acquainted”, and walks through downloading and installing the app, getting used to the simple interface, understanding important terms (like “LED ports”, “sequence channels”, and “themes”), writing a simple sequence that models the incandescent light of a radio tower at night, connecting the Morsel and ComLink to send the light effect, and fixing any mistakes made while writing the sequence. It’s our goal to make creating your own lighting effects as easy as possible, so if you have any questions, or suggestions for improvement, please give… Read More

Sequence Composer Update 1.3 “Albeniz”

The latest version of the free app Sequence Composer has been released! With this release, named in honor of famous Spanish composer Isaac Albeniz, a new feature has been added to sequences: inputs. In a nutshell, an input is data that goes into a sequence. This data can be used to decide where to go in the sequence, or how often. There are pretty neat things you can do with these abilities, and we look forward to demonstrating them in articles we’ll be releasing in the coming weeks. (We used this ability in each of our demos at Brickworld 2018!) As a reminder, to use your personalized sequences on the Morsel,… Read More

Brickworld 2018 and NIMCON 7 – An absolute Blast!

What an amazing time was had at Brickworld 2018! We had a chance to meet quite a few extremely creative builders, all of which blew us away with their exhibits. And we enjoyed sharing our very simple yet captivating demos, both seeing and hearing the response from both the builders and the hundreds of attendees who came up to our display. NIMCON 7 was great, getting a chance to meet modelers whose passion for the art either payed homage to historical events or explored a history yet to be had! We really enjoyed talking with each of the builders and attendees, hearing how they worked their masterful art, and sharing… Read More
